And of course, mentioning the word “free” will inevitably draw the attention of the audience. We all love free things, right?
Next from our SaaS Facebook ads collection is this one from Dropbox. I loved it because its design is minimalist, and yet manages to express the right message in a very clear way. The colours are also quite attention-grabbing!

Of course, I can’t make a list of SaaS examples without mentioning Salesforce. Their adorable and highly visual illustrations are a candy to the eye, and you just can’t ignore them easily. I find this ad from the payroll services company Paycom quite unique. The contrasting green colour on a black and white background definitely makes it stand out from the crowd. On top of that, the ad description explains the solution that the company offers in a very clear manner.
Additionally, the Call to Action is not your typical “Buy now” or “Learn more”. Instead, they have put effort into making it more powerful: “Put applicant tracking on the fast track”.
Wix is doing a great job with this Facebook ad. First, the creative banner which makes you imagine and visualize your future project so you feel compelled to take action. Second, the CTA is clear and concise: “Create your own website”.
And third, the ad description fits perfectly with the motivational power of the banner. It is quite inspiration by itself, showing you that you can convert your passion into business.
Next, we have this colourful ad from Monday.com. Although the image of the laptop isn’t something unique, I like this ad because of the graphical elements flying around. They add more information to the photo, and makes you get a clearer picture of what the product is about.
Hubspot is one of the leading companies in Inbound Marketing, Inbound Sales, and CRM solutions (affiliate links). Personally, I love this ad because it gives visibility of the brand through the lens of the customer, while also giving a shout out to the customer and their product at the same time. Talk about a win-win!
Additionally, the incorporation of emojis and the use of a casual language that the audience can resonate with are other elements that make this ad work.
What makes this ad from Squarespace so powerful is the inspirational touch of their message. By saying “A website makes it real”, they make users visualize their project clearly. And un-complicate the process by making them feel that they are just one step awaying from starting their own business.

This awesome ad from Slack manages to grab the attention with their unique illustration. It successfully visualizes how teams can communicate better with shared channels. I like the fact that the ad description starts with a question, which is always a great way to engage with the ad mentally by trying to answer it.
Additionally, Slack manages to express very well the solution that they offer to an existing problem. And last but not least, the Call to Action cannot be more clear: “Try shared channels”.
Our list of SaaS Facebook ads continues with this example from Asana. Personally, I am a huge fan of Asana ads as they are always very illustrational, unique, and playful with their colours. Furthermore, offering a 30-day free trial is a great way to draw the attention to your ad, and encourage people to click on it.

Our next is from SurveyMonkey, and the reason why it works so well is because of its lighthearted message: “Impress the heck out of everyone”. Which, combined with the triumphant image of the girl, is capable of getting the audience excited to see what the product is about.
And of course, I love the clear and straightforward Call to Action “Stop guessing. Get answers”.
I just can’t get enough of this ad from cloud communications platform Twilio! The illustrated hand which shows the features in action is fun and definitely makes the ad stand out from the crowd.
Additionally, the ad description is quite detailed, and includes enough information so that users can understand the product enough to click on the ad.
Next on our list of SaaS Facebook ads is this ad from Atlassian. It is quite simple and minimalist both in terms of descriptions and banner. However, I think that exactly this simplistic design, compared with the bright blue colour, is what makes it stand out from the crowd.
Furthermore, including numbers is always a great way to attract the attention. In this case, it is even better than just a random number – but instead, the approval stamp of over 60,000 customers.
This Carousel ad from Aircall does a really good job enumerating the benefits of their software product in beautiful way with this interactive ad format. Furthermore, we already mentioned that including keywords such as “free”, especially if it’s for a longer period such as one month, is always a guarantee to attract the attention.
Additionally, this ad was launched during the coronavirus crisis in which the whole world stayed at home under quarantine. This means that offering remote home working possibilities increased the effectiveness of the ad even more.
This ad from Gitlab continues the tendency that we are seeing in the ad examples of other Software as a Service companies. And that is, using illustrations and graphics to visualize how the product works. In this case, a cute little 4-step graphic that promises to teach you more once you download their ebook.
And last but not least, I think that the ad portrays in a very clear manner the solution that Gitlab offers to the audience. Being able to use CI/CD without costly integrations and maintenance.
