Having a powerful and well-grounded mission statement is one of the most important aspects when it comes to developing a long-term Marketing strategy. And of course, establishing a brand with a purpose. That’s why today, we will see some of the most awesome mission statement examples that will inspire any business looking to create one.
If you’ve read any of my previous blog posts, I am a firm believer that one of the best ways to learn a concept is by seeing enough examples of it.
After all, theory means nothing if you are not capable of visualizing it in practice.
Before we dive into our mission statement examples, let’s look at some definitions of a “mission statement“:
- A mission statement is used by a company to explain, in simple and concise terms, its purpose(s) for being. – Investopedia
- A mission statement is a short statement of why an organization exists, what its overall goal is, identifying the goal of its operations. – Wikipedia
All these words seem easy to understand, but is it really that easy? At least for me it isn’t. Just by looking at these descriptions, one might think that the company should justify its business.
And somebody might even think that their mission statement should start like this: “The reason my company exists is…”. Which is really not the the point of a mission statement.
It has to be short, powerful, and to showcase the value that the company brings to people. It should be easy to understand by someone who has never heard of this company, and doesn’t know anything about its business.

But of course, enough with the ambiguous descriptions. As I already mentioned, the best way we can understand the concept behind a mission statement is to look at some mission statement examples:
1. The Coca Cola Company
